I started taking photographs with a Kodak 127 Brownie in 1962–that’s me below on board the Castel Felice en route to Australia in 1963. I’m still taking photographs, and still seeing things through a viewfinder that I have never seen before.
While technology keeps moving inexorably forwards, I am finding that for every piece of high-tech equipment I start to use, I am rediscovering the joys of low-tech. Both digital and film sit quite comfortable side-by-side in my camera bag.
